Topless Istanbul Season Opening

As the weather heats up, we appreciate open-air spots even more. Topless Istanbul is one these spacious rooftop spots that not only strikes with a fabulous view over Istanbul’s scenery but also with a high quality musical programme that included already Moodmusic Records’ Sasse or Helsinki’s Roberto Rodriguez that we value highly from his radio slot Serenades Show International at dinamo.fm.

Topless Istanbul kicks off the summer season on Thursday, 12 June 2014 with Berlin’s Stefan Biniak, soulful Kerem Akdag, ClunkMunk, Sarp Ozaydin and Efe Kantel. FG 93.7’s Orkun Bozdemir and Mutlu San follow on Friday, 13 June 2014 and offer another chance to listen to talented San after his live performance at Boiler Room Istanbul.

Just D’s SaveAs Music will be responsible for the booking on Saturdays making it a safe shot to dance under the sky. The opening celebration trumps with a live performance of one of Brooklyn’s finest duos No Regular Play a.k.a. Greg Paulus and Nick DeBruyn on Saturday, 14 June 2014. Both met at the early age of eight and their common love of Hip-Hop and Jazz established a longstanding friendship marked by musical adventures as studying Afro-Cuban rhythm and culture in Havana. An attendance at a Wolf + Lamb party in 2006, inspired the duo to experiment in the electronic climes of music and resulted in a string of releases at the Wolf + Lamb imprint. Be prepared for an unique live performance that stands out with Paulus’ skills at the trumpet and his vocals alongside DeBruyn taking care of the electronics. As this wasn’t enough, Berlin’s Burnski joins the party to contribute his signature House sound endemic to the camps of Poker Flat, Realtone and Dessous Recordings. Finally, Just D and O.Bee bring the groove to the dance floor before the guests take over.
