We believe that Every Dog Has Its Day (EDHID). A perfect expression for any creative ambition and the vision of Turkey’s first electronic music magazine is to provide you an independent view on across-genre, exceptional dance music. Indeed, although deeply rooted in house and techno, EDHID’s concept is free-floated between styles. Murat Demiroglu alias Tolle founded EDHID to create a no-frills, passionate platform for modern dance music that focuses on quality rather than transient hypes.

After a phenomenal kick-off with UK’s fine label Huntleys + Palmers, it’s time for having a guest who has an extensive knowledge to pay tribute to the house and techno legacy out of Chicago, Detroit and New York and the capability of intertwining this with the in vogue modern approach that is manifested by labels like Dixon and Âme’s Innervisions, Mano Le Tough’s Maeve or Michael Reinboth’s eclectic bastion Compost. Enough of stimulating prelude, our man is Compost’s very own Thomas Herb.

Inspired by US Garage House, Munich-based Thomas Herb contributed significantly to the house movement in the Bavarian capital with playing alongside influential artists like Tony Humphries, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Peter Kruder, Boris Dlugosch, Dixon and many more since almost two decades and especially his longstanding residency at Flokati House Club that took place in Munich’s legendary dance institutions like Ultraschall or Harry Klein provided him a play- and learning ground for his musical endeavours. He co-hosts Compost Black Sessions at Munich’s leading house clubs and curated the eponymous radio show for several years.
